Songs of Humanity
Anthropos
Kate Smith | Sylvia Schmidt | Jaka Škapin | Guillermo Rozenthuler
How did collective singing come into being in the early days of mankind? With this great, unanswered question as a starting point, three women and two men of different origins embark together on a journey into the unknown. Their voices are an invitation back to the ancestors and the universal. Each spontaneous song becomes an imaginary village where music is part of daily life and activities, just as it was in ancient times. Using invented language and a wide range of vocal techniques and musical influences from around the world, with sound, rhythm and syllables as musical substance, the singers of Anthropos improvise a cappella music without words.
If neurons knew ...
... that they can also inspire improv .

Improvisation
Impro shapes the brain - brain cells inspire Impro
Part 1 Lecture: How does music affect brain function? What is special about improvised music and its effects on brain function?
Part 2 Vocal improvisation on scientific images of human brain cells. This performance approaches the connection between music and science from two different angles. While Part 1 informs us about the effects of improvised music on brain function and addresses the importance that music and improvisation has on humans, Part 2 draws inspiration from the beauty of science to mental songs.
Dutch Dreams
Under the direction of Merel Martens (arrangements) and Kees Kool (improvisations), the Dutch Organic Choir presents a dynamic, groovy concert, with both carefully arranged pieces and improvisations. Merel Martens and Kees Kool push the boundaries of the choral repertoire with their musical vision. Together they create a unique atmosphere where harmony and spontaneity come together.

Body Music
Ramaje
Jean-Daniel Girod | Raphael Baumann | Matthias Wyss
The trio from the Zurich area has dedicated itself heart and soul to body music. Voice, clapping, stomping, snapping: One's own body offers a rich menu of instruments. RAMAJE interweaves a cappella and body percussion into groovy, fresh arrangements, drawing inspiration from a variety of styles from around the world.
Dad's Phonkey
Christian Padberg
In his solo project "Dad's Phonkey" Christian Padberg develops polyphonic songs and soundscapes between jazz, classical, funk, soul, world music, folklore, pentatonic and pop with his loopmachine. Everything is basically improvised, completely cross-genre and starts from scratch. Christian Padberg does with his voice whatever flies through his head: He babbles, grooves, shreds, languishes, doubles and triples. Is this opera buffa or old-school funk? Fun or serious? Virtuosity or charlatanry? As a rule, he doesn't even know himself when he's already started.
Yodeling action
Marion Knoth
Marion Knoth is a yodeler and authorized CVT Vocal Coach, trained at CVI in Copenhagen. She discovered by chance at a yodeling class that her formerly rather thin singing voice could be loud and make a room resound. This lucky experience has made her a passionate yodeler. She is yodeling on the road, solo and with her trio Les Amuses-Geules.

What is happening at the moment? What wants to be sung? Can Vokalimpro be planned? Yes and No. We can prepare carefully...but when we really get into the principle of "Don't think, sing!" it becomes exciting and just as we feel it at the moment. Improvised concerts have been around since the 1960-70s, completely free or along a thread, like a story - tense in content or in a musical framework. Contentwise it is here in the music magnetism 5 sketches pieces, inspirations from human interpretation maps such as human design: in descriptions in Latin short text prefixed, sung and improvisationally implemented.

Anthropos
Kate Smith | Sylvia Schmidt | Jaka Škapin | Guillermo Rozenthuler
Anthropos' songs are immediate community compositions; a celebration of the music of the earth and the rich wellspring of universal human experience - from the primal to the contemporary and from the profound to the playful. Each performance is unique, an echo to the inner worlds of the listener and an invitation to explore connection and belonging.
Pop Up Trio
Kees Kool | Rahel Comtesse | Roberto Demo
The a cappella impro trio consists of Rahel Comtesse (D), actress and singer, Roberto Demo (I), singer, guitarist, vocal teacher and researcher, and Kees Kool (NL), singer, educator and organizer of the If Festival in Nijmegen. Virtuoso movement stories with orchestral vocal sound, finest nuances in powerful ad hoc playing, surprising turns in the fireworks of the moment. The pop-up trio wonderfully captivates us with their joy of playing!
Trio Here & Wow
Johanna Seiler | Noga | Rahel Comtesse
A trio a great reunion of a special kind: Johanna Seiler, Rahel Comtesse and Noga take us into the spaces of their whimsical stories, touching sounds and tempramentvolle vocal outbursts. Alchemical onomatopoeias with the three singers from Munich, Berlin and Geneva.
